A trolling fan of K-pop singer Kim Taeyeon hacked one of the most popular international K-pop news blogs.
On Tuesday, Allkpop appeared to be hacked by an ardent supporter of the Girls' Generation member, who had released her single "Rain" in South Korea earlier that day. The website's article about the release was covered in accusations calling out "haters" and memes featuring pictures of Taeyeon allegedly bashing those same haters. "Rain" was also played on a loop during the hack.
Upon discovering the situation, allkpop removed the images and returned their website to normalcy.
KpopStarz reached out to allkpop regarding the incident, but did not receive a response upon the time of this article being published.
The article targeted introduced the music video for Taeyeon's latest song, "Rain." "Rain" is the first of a weekly release series from SM Entertainment artists through the company's new digital music channel.
Allkpop was founded in 2007. According to the outlet's website, they are a leading K-pop authority who "not only break news but make news."
