BTOB "Dumb Dumb"-ed it down to get a lot of laughs on the new SBS show “The Boss Is Watching.”
In the Lunar New Year debut episode of “The Boss Is Watching,” a new show that features K-pop celebrities alongside their entertainment agency’s CEOs, Cube Entertainment boy band BTOB captured the hearts of audiences by putting on dresses. Four members of BTOB donned dresses, aprons, and stockings similar to those worn by Red Velvet during their promotional period for the song “Dumb Dumb,” and promptly danced to the song in a comical manner.
BTOB’s Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Changsub, and Hyunsik introduced themselves as a new group known as “Red Carpet,” the direct competitor to Red Velvet.
The quartet garnered a lot of laughs from the audience, and the CEO of Cube Entertainment, as they danced along to the popular Red Velvet. Members of BTS, AOA, and EXID were laughing before the four started even dancing, and several idol groups stood up to give the group a standing ovation.
BTOB was one of numerous K-pop apps who covered another group’s songs during the debut episode of “The Boss Is Watching,” but the one garnering the most attention thanks to their cross dressing performance.
Aside from the cover performance, BTOB’s members already have a relationship with Red Velvet; BTOB’s Sungjae and Red Velvet’s Joy are a virtual couple on the variety show, “We Got Married.”
