Goo Hara Cast As Lead Role In Upcoming Drama 'Babysitter'

Former Kara member Goo Hara took her first steps as an actress under a new entertainment agency in January earlier this year.

On Feb. 11, an insider working on the drama Babysitter informed Korean news outlet Daily Sports saying, "Goo Hara was casted in the four-part series Babysitter on KBS 2TV."

Goo Hara will play the role of a babysitter named Jang Suk-Yu, a 24-year old English literature major who attends a prestigious university and is fluent in five languages. The drama is a mystery-thriller that tells the story of a wealthy family with three children, a nanny, and the events that transpire around them.

Babysitter will be four episodes long to fill in the open spots that were left after the early cancellation of another KBS drama, Moorim School, which was shortened from 20 to 16 episodes.

The first episode of the new drama is scheduled to air on Monday, March 14. Following episodes will be aired on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Babysitter will be Goo Hara's first acting activity after signing an exclusive contract with agency Key East earlier this year. Her previous major acting role was nearly five years ago, in the hit 2011 drama "City Hunter."
