Big Bang's G-Dragon is making it big in the most esteemed regions of high fashion in more ways than one.
G-Dragon and British rapper M.I.A lent their vocals to Baauer's latest song, "Temples" at Alexander Wang's New York Fashion Week show. The song played during the runway show on Sunday, embedding G-Dragon even further into the heart of the fashion world.
M.I.A and G-Dragon rapped over Bauer's new-age beats, providing a backdrop to Wang's edgy take on fashion.
While M.I.A does her thing in English G-Dragon throws in an ample amount of Korean, an appropriate fit for the soundtrack of a fashion line headed by an Asian-American designer.
While this is the first time a song featured G-Dragon's vocals at such a high profile fashion event, the K-Pop artist has been turning heads all over the couture world.
Last month, G-Dragon appeared alongside Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel's Paris fashion show. The appearance garnered G-Dragon attention from the likes of the New York Times and Vogue, who took note of the musicians artistry and unique take on fashion.
Wang also recently unveiled G-Dragon's lablemate CL of 2NE1 as one of his models of his newly-formed Wang Squad to promote his Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Baauer is another member of the Wang Squad.
"Temples" premiered at Wang's 2016 Fall/Winter show in New York on Feb. 13. "Temples" will be feautred on Baauer's debut album, "Aa," which will be released in March.
