K-Pop Night Out will return to South by Southwest (SXSW) 2016, with a strong lineup featuring Zion.T with The Session, Mamamoo, and solo vocalist, DEAN.
On February 18, SXSW organizers announced the official lineup for its well-attended K-Pop Night Out event and Seoulsonic.
K-Pop Night Out will be held at The Belmont on Wednesday, March 16. The star-studded evening will kick at 7:30 p.m. with a performance from the rock quartet, Bye Bye Badman.
Glam metal wunderkinds, Victim Mentality, will follow with an 8:20 p.m. set, followed by electronic duo Love x Stereo at 9:20 p.m.
The critically-acclaimed R&B vocal group, Mamamoo, will deliver their unique brand of Korean pop at 10:20 p.m.
Electronic dance artist Haihm will keep the crowd dancing with her 11:20 p.m. performance, which will be followed by K-pop soloist, DEAN.
Zion.T and The Session will cap off the night when they dominate the stage at 1 a.m.
Asian hip-hop is the focus of a Mandoo Entertainment showcase that will be held on Thursday, March 17 at Palm Door on Sixth.
The dynamic lineup includes Illionaire Records artists Dok2 and the Quiett as well as Deepflow. While they will represent the strength of Korean hip-hop, Dwagie and Aristophanes will show audiences how Taiwan keeps up with the rap game.
The Majestic will host the return of Seoulsonic on Friday, March 18.
Reggae soloist, Windy City, will kick off the solid night of Korean indie music at 8 p.m.
Guten Birds, an all-female rock act will follow at 9 p.m., providing a segue to Bye Bye Badman.
WYM will deliver stellar dance tunes at 11 p.m. before the dark ambient sound of HEO will fill the venue at midnight.
The Seoulsonic showcase will be capped off by an 1 a.m. performance from critically acclaimed dance-pop chanteuse, Neon Bunny.
SXSW Music Festival will be held at various locations throughout Austin, TX from March 15 through 20.
Registration for a Music badge, which provides admission to Music Festival showcases, panel sessions, and SXSW Convergence events can be purchased through the official website for SXSW.
