“Akame Ga Kill’ Chapter 69 Spoilers; Esdeath vs. Tatsumi! Supreme Teigu Revealed!

Chapter 68 of "Akame Ga Kill" is already online through Manga Stream. The battle between the rebels and empire has finally commenced featuring powerful teigus from both sides. The title of the current chapter is "Kill the Source." Before any predictions of the upcoming chapters, there's a brief recap of the recent events in the story.

Preparations for war are already set with Esdeath and Suzuka waiting for an attack with the defensive power of an ice cavalry. On the other hand, Night Raid made their final preparations for the battle. Leone and Akame are tasked to infiltrate the castle and assassinate with "extreme prejudice" the leaders of the empire except the young emperor. Tatsumi and Najenda will fight in the front line with the rebels. Akame promised to quickly finish their targets so they could return in the front line and fight.

The day of the battle arrives with the rebels attacking first with cannons which were immediately negated by Esdeath. The rebels' second wave of attack is through wild beasts teigu but Esdeath retaliated with airborne beasts teigu. After the second wave, Esdeath orders the ice cavalry to attack and the army is protected with Tatsumi's incrusio teigu. Meanwhile, the emperor and the prime minister prepare the supreme teigu as the prime minister remembers how he assassinated the royal family.

The supreme teigu is the empire's ultimate weapon which could deal a huge blow to the rebel army. User DreadlockSamurai of Reddit predicts, "I can see it being a beast teigu like Lionelle. They've got a bunch of dragons flying about so having a Dragon Emperor could be a nice twist. I'd love to see him emerge as a reaper or something ultra sinister looking since they made modifications." On the other hand, user Farabeuf of My Anime List forum predicts a fight to the death between Esdeath and Tatsumi, "Tatsumi vs Esdeath. About time for that battle to happen...Been a while since anyone has died. I bet the feeling that might change soon."
