"Tokyo Ghoul: Re" chapter 71 is already online courtesy of D-Manga. The latest chapter focuses on the Aogiri Tree attacks on Cochlea to free some of the key members of the organization. But before any speculations and predictions on the upcoming chapters of the manga and anime, here's a brief recap of the events.

 The attacks in Cochlea continue with Arima defending the facility. The ghouls were able to mount an attack against CCG while a flashback reveals Yomo and Touku's struggle living as a ghoul.  While Arima is gaining on his attacks against the ghouls, Yomo was able to dig deep. The untapped power of "The Thunderous Cycle of Despair" was called out to counter Arima's attack.

The source of the powerful counter against Arima is still unknown. However, there are speculations on the source that could lead to a bigger battle for Arima. User XxNLjacod predicts that it could be Amon based on the number of fingers shown in the final page of the chapter. It is also possible that Kaneki could have the trump card in countering Arima and eventually prevent the CCG investigator from inflicting permanent damage to any ghoul attacking Cochlea. User Barion-Zara on My Anime List forum predicts that Arima will finally face Kaneki.

The battle between Arima and Kaneki is definitely an interesting fight and it will surely have some twists and turns while the two face-off. Given the previous relationship of the two fighters, there could be some hesitations on each side especially in dealing the death bow. Arima is a powerful investigator and the previous chapters have already shown him easily dealing with the Aogiri Tree. On the other hand Kaneki has successfully implemented his plan in getting Hinami out although he needed some help from Hinami when facing Furuta.

On the other hand, it is probably time for everyone to learn more on what is happening in Rue Island. The next chapters will definitely reveal what happened to the CCG agents tasked in dealing with ghouls in the island.
