Avril Lavigne New Album 2016; Collaboration With Kroeger On Upcoming Album? Get The Latest Here!

Avril Lavigne is in high spirits these days. Her battle with the fatal Lyme disease is over and she is moving forward with a healthy body. In November 2015, ET Online reported, "Lavigne has been battling the illness since late last year, and has remained in good spirits while documenting her recovery. In late June, she told Good Morning America that she was about halfway done with her treatment and expecting to make a full recovery."

Aside from the dreaded disease, Lavigne also announced her separation with Chad Kroeger last year. According to People, the popular music artists got married July 2013 with their marriage ending after two years. Lavigne announced their separation in her official Instagram account stating, "It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments..."

But even with the announcement of separation, Lavigne and Kroeger have been seen together on various occasions. Kroeger is currently working on an album and Lavigne posted an image through Instagram of enjoying her time at the studio with Kroeger. In a separate report by People, "With guitars in hand, the two musicians have bright smiles on their faces as they pose together on a couch in the photo Lavigne posted on her Instagram. " There was no announcement of Lavigne's upcoming project but there are some hints that she could be working on an album.

Aside from posting updates of enjoying her time with Nickelback's front man, Lavigne has been learning mandolin and trying it out with some musicians. She posted a video on her Instagram account with the caption, "I'm so stoked I figured out how to play my mandolin so I learned a Dixie Chicks song!!! And I can't stop playing it!!!" She might be trying out a song from Dixie Chicks but the instrument could be a good source of inspiration for her to work on her album. After all, she's already in the studio and getting some tracks done should be a breeze.
