Apple iPhone 7 Rumors: 5.5-Inch iPhone 7 Plus To Be Introduced In WWDC?

Even after all the buzz created by the launch of iPhone 5SE last March, iPhone 7 enthusiasts continue to fill the Web with expectations and speculations about the specs and features of the much-anticipated iPhone 7; a new report, accordingly, said that instead of just an iPhone 7, a 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus is just waiting to be released.

According to Network World, a "big iOS device," the iPhone 7 Plus, is slated to be released by Apple and Apple enthusiasts have mixed reactions about it. Aside from its size, iPhone 7 Plus is also said to be exclusively sporting the much-anticipated dual lens camera.

Not everyone is not so happy to hear about the iPhone 7 Plus, though. Yoni Heisler, a contributor for Network World, said: "While this may be disappointing who find the 5.5-inch iPhone model to be a bit unwieldy and cumbersome to use, it's not all that surprising."

"Going back to the iPhone 6, Apple has always provided an incentive for users to upgrade to its larger screened iPhone model. With the iPhone 6S, lineup, for example, only the iPhone 6S Plus was graced with optical image stabilization," the commentary added.

The new rumored specs of the iPhone 7 Plus originated from the Japanese website Mac Otakara (via Mac Rumors), which primarily showcased the dual camera of the new smartphone. The website further commented that the handset is "the real thing" and that the "possibility is great."

The new renders, accordingly, showed that the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus most likely resembles the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. The new hadsets could also be thinner, Mac Otakara noted.

Network World further speculated that the new iPhone 7 Plus may be introduced in the Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC this June, along with other rumored new products including a thinner Apple Watch 2.
