'Cyberpunk 2077' Release Date For PS4, PC And Xbox To Be In 2017: Co-Founder Of CD Projekt Red Marcin Iwinski Gives The Details

The gaming world has been waiting for the release of ''Cyberpunk 2077'' for a long time now and the tentative release date is sometime in 2017 for PS4, PC and Xbox. CD Projekt Red are busy creating special features in the game to wow their gamers.

On the official website, the makers have talked about Mike Pondsmith who was the creator of ''cyberpunk 2020. ''CD Projekt RED is proud to collaborate with Mike and bring this city to life in its upcoming RPG - Cyberpunk 2077. The game will be set in the near future, in which advanced technologies have become both; the salvation and the curse of humanity. A multi-thread, nonlinear story designed for mature players (a CD Projekt RED trademark) will give players a chance to freely roam the open-world and visit places well known from the pen-and-paper RPG "Cyberpunk 2020", including a combat zone completely taken over by gangs, the legendary Afterlife joint and the nostalgic Forlorn Hope'' what the website says.

After getting seven nominations for ''The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,'' which is another flagship game from the makers of ''Cyberpunk 2077'' in The BAFTA Awards, the expectations from the developers have gone higher for this game. On one hand Gamespot mentioned that the game is taking time to be released because it is expected to be unique.

Eurogamer talked about the release date of this game and mentioned that it will not be in E3 of 2016. "It might happen that we will be at E3 and we will show something at E3, but I just want to make it clear it's not Cyberpunk," told CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski at Polish conference Digital Dragons recently. "We still have a lot of work to do with Cyberpunk'' Iwinski added further.

"A new type of video game format previously unexplored by the studio'' was mentioned in the recent annual report of CD Projekt Red. So even though the possibilities are bleak for the game to be released this year, the gaming world is still anticipating. When the Eurogamer team asked Iwinski for further updates on the release in E3, he gave vague answers like "We will see" and "Well, hopefully.'' He was not even ready to talk about the game plan and did not clarify if there will be any similarities with ''The Witcher'' series.

''That may seem surprising, given that it has been in development for a few years now - when I visited the studio in autumn 2013 there were 50 people upstairs already working on it (although I'm sure getting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt out of the door had an impact) - but when you release a game celebrated like Witcher 3 was, perceptions also change'' clarified the writer of Eurogamer Robert Purchese talking about his experience with the developers of CD Projekt Red.

"When you release a game like The Witcher and create the expansions, the perception is not the pre-Witcher 3 expectation," said Iwinski. "The bar is higher - and it's externally and internally as well'' he clarified further.

Please keep an eye on the updates released by Kpopstarz on the development of ''Cyberpunk 2077.''
