Amid mild controversy around background symbolism in EXID's latest comeback music video for "L.I.E," the group's agency has announced that they will be releasing a dance version of the song, along with another completely new music video.
The video and song are expected to be released sometime soon. The song will be remixed into an "areia" version, a style very popular in electronic tracks.
However, the new music video will be released among a backdrop of a controversy that has been brewing around the group's latest music video. According to critics, some of the symbolism included was overtly sexual.
When asked whether the new music video was being released in response to criticism, an insider at EXID's agency, Banana Culture, stated, "That is not true. We did not film the members with that specific intention. Not even the music shows had a problem with it."
"The new music video is just for those fans who want to see a dance version of EXID's 'L.I.E," the insider added.
The new version will not be filmed by the director who shot the original. Instead, it is being fimled by Lee Gibaek, who has filmed music videos for G-Dragon, B2ST, Girls' Generation, and other top idol groups.
