Multiple Drama Producers Say Park Yoochun May Never Be Casted Again

Park Yoochun was once able to headline dramas, but that has already changed due to his recent scandals.

With multiple accusations of sexual assault, the value of Park's name has hit rock bottom. Multiple TV and movie producers have said, "it will be difficult for him to return to dramas."

According to Korean media outlet TV Report on Jun. 17, multiple producers were asked about whether Park could come back, but they all gave negative responses. "Even if these cases turn out to be false, there still won't be anybody willing to cast someone whose fans have turned their backs on him," said one anonymous producer.

The damage to his reputation was not only due to the sexual assault cases; it was also due to a recent article that claimed that Park's agency, C-JeS Entertainment, has ties to gang activity.

Another anonymous TV producer said, "The connection between entertainment agencies and gangsters have long been rumors, but the article that revealed the truth of this came as a big shock. I don't think things will end with the Park Yoochun case."

A third anonymous producer said that drama producers think similarly to the general public. "There's no point in using an actor with a tarnished image."

"When an actor causes a huge scandal like Park Yoochun, it can hurt the drama, leaving no method of recourse," the producer added.

Park Yoochun is currently being investigated for four claims of sexual assault. His agency has stated that he will leave the industry if the claims turn out to be true.
