Twice's "Cheer Up" Hits 50 Million Views, Breaks Youtube Record

Rookie idol group Twice, who only debuted last year, has broken the Youtube record for fastest K-pop music video to reach 50 million views.

The music video, which was released on April 25 along with the group's second mini-album, passed the 50 million view mark at 2 p.m. on June 21. Amazingly, the record was broken in less than two months, taking a total of only 58 days.

When it was first released, it was extremely well-received, surpassing 5 million views within just two days. This not only shows the song's longevity, but also Twice's status as a top-tier girl group.

In comparison, Twice's debut music video, "Like OOH-AHH," took five months to break the 50 million view mark. That music video is currently at the 73 million view mark.

Even eight weeks after the song was released, it still ranks at the No. 1 spot on various online music charts and Twice is still winning awards for the song on live music shows.

The group's achievements are even more significant because they debuted only eight months ago.
