A ruptured ligament in the ankle, also known as a severe ankle sprain, is a significant injury that can occur due to sudden twisting or rolling of the foot. This type of injury involves a complete tear of one or more ligaments in the ankle, leading to instability, severe pain, swelling, and difficulty bearing weight on the affected foot.
The recovery time for a ruptured ankle ligament can vary depending on the severity of the injury, but it typically takes longer than milder sprains. For a grade 3 sprain, which involves a complete ligament tear, the recovery period can range from 3 to 6 months. During this time, patients usually need to follow a comprehensive rehabilitation program that includes rest, physical therapy, and a gradual return to activities to ensure proper healing and prevent future instability.
News of Eunkwang's injury comes just after BTOB celebrated their 13th anniversary with a three-day fan concert titled "3,2,1 GO! MELympic."
