Actor Kim Sung Min (43) has unfortunately passed away after a suicide attempt put him in a coma.
On June 24, Kim Sung Min attempted to commit suicide by hanging himself after a having a fight with his wife. The police were called and performed CPR on the actor, but he was unresponsive, so he was brought to the hospital.
After arriving, he was still alive, so he was put on an artificial breathing machine.
Doctors diagnosed Kim with brain damage two days later at 2 a.m. on June 26. Eight hours after that, at 10 a.m., his family decided to pull him off life support.
However, after the diagnosis, his family told doctors that Kim had signed up to be an organ donor. The surgery to remove them will be carried out in the evening on June 26.
After the surgery is completed, the family will consult with doctors to decide what time to take him off life support.
When Kim first arrived in the hospital, doctors in the ICU attempted to treat him, but his blood pressure was so low that they were unable to.
Kim first gained popularity through his role in the 2002 drama "Miss Mermaid."
