Pledis Announces Permanent Blacklist For Seventeen Fans Who Break Rules

Pledis has taken drastic measures in response to overenthusiastic fans.

During the latest recording of "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook," popular male idol group Seventeen was performing. As expected, many of their fans attended the show to see them live onstage. However, this show does not allow any audience members to take pictures or videos.

Despite this ban, many Seventeen fans continued to take photos and film Seventeen's performance during the show, many with large, expensive cameras.

After the show, the TV station reportedly admonished Seventeen's staff for not stopping the group's fans from using their cameras during the show.

In response to the incident, Pledis Entertainment announced on their Twitter that they would be severe punishments for anyone engaging in similar conduct in the future, including being blacklisted from events and permanently expelled from the fanclub.

Pledis staff made two tweets, stating, "Hello, this is the staff of Seventeen. We were warned by the broadcast station on site during the filming of today's episode of "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook."

"From now on, anyone who takes pictures or videos in a place including TV stations) that forbids it will be permanently kicked out of the fanclub and will be blacklisted from any future events," the company stated, firmly expressing their position.

"Anyone who uploads photos or videos of the "Sketchbook" episode will face the same punishments, so act accordingly," they concluded.

With such drastic consequences, Pledis has shown that it is willing to crack down on fans who disobey TV station rules.
