A Pink is one of the top girl groups in Kpop. They have maintained it with only doing innocent concepts. If they titled the album Pink Revolution, I am expecting a different sound from them, even not the title track.
I don't want to sound rude or anything but, A pink, I think, is the only girl group who has maintained doing songs like this whole throughout their career. "Only One" sounds like their previous releases. There is nothing wrong with that as it is their signature sound, just like Infinite, it's just that, I want them to try different concepts because it looks like the members themselves are tired of their concepts
"Oh Yes" is you typical preppy and cutesy song from girl groups. With upbeat melody and exciting sound, this song is one of your feel good songs. If you like innocent stuff in kpop, A Pink is perfect for you.
I did not like the beginning of this song but just like they said, first impression never last. "Boom Pow Love" is a great song. It is more on the slower side. It has an RnB feel to it. It also has more beats to it. Better than "Oh Yes". I love the falsettos, runs and high notes in this song.
"Fairy" is a typical ballad from a girl group. It has that Disney princess feel to it. I feel like if they will ever do a music video for this, it will be so pretty and magical.
I don't really listen to A Pink's album that much so I don't know if they usually put songs like this but "Drummer Boy" does not sound like an A Pink song and I love it. This song does not have an A Pink sound to it even for a second. My only problem with this song is the "rap" part.
"To. Us" is another slow song in the album. This song reminds me of Girl's Generation b-side tracks in their early years. It's nice.
"Ding Dong" is also another good track from the album. It is more on the acoustic side.
"Catch Me" is on the EDM side. It is upbeat and preppy. The chorus is really catchy. This song is definitely perfect for summer.
This song is probably my favourite in the album. I like that they did not use electronic made sounds and instead used a real band. This would totally sound cool if they perform with a live band on their concert as an ending song. However, I feel like they are already saying goodbye with this song. I guess it fits because it is the last rack in the album.
A pink, from the start has been doing songs like "Only One". There is nothing wrong with having just one sound or concept as it is their signature sound, just like Infinite, it's just that, I want them to try different concepts because it looks like the members themselves are tired of their concepts.
I'll give this album a 3.5 out of 5. If you haven't listen to it yet, do it now. If you have other opinion, then comment below!
