Cuteness overload!
On November 20, GFRIEND officially released a teaser on their YouTube channel about their upcoming project with the South Korean release of the movie adaptation of the cute pocket monsters "Pokemon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel". They will be singing one of the official sound tracks of the film.
According to Officially K-Music, GFRIEND will be recording the closing song of the film. In the teaser that they just recently released, Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, ShinB, and Umji are seen wearing light orange outfits while they were surrounded by cute Pokemon characters like Psyduck, Charmander, and of course, the famous Pikachu. It is also evident that the girls are also fans of the cute characters as they pinch, cuddle, and squeal the stuffed toy versions of the pocket monsters.
Moreover, the teaser was entitled 'Pikachingu (피카친구)' which was a combination of the name of the famous character of the series, Pikachu, and the Korean name of GFRIEND which is "yeojachingu". The 31-second teaser also showed life size Pikachus which are dancing happily to the cheerful melody of GFRIEND's song.
As mentioned in the official YouTube post, the music video will be released three days before Christmas, December 22, so fans can really expect a very cute gift from the six girls of GFRIEND plus with the presence of the super adorable Pokemon characters.
This song will be one of the most anticipated projects of GFRIEND after their mega hit "Navillera" in July earlier this year which garnered them their first music show win. Fans can't wait to see their favorite girls back on stage with some cute melodies and powerful dance moves and for sure, this project won't disappoint.
