Fans of former RaNia member, Jooyi now known as the Cosmic Girl, shouldn't worry about their beloved rapper as she comes back with the single entitled "Don't You Worry 'Bout Me" featuring another famous rapper, San E.
On November 29, All Kpop wrote about this new RNB song which showcases the softer side of Cosmic Girl's voice together with the subtle raps courtesy of San E. This song brings about a good chemistry between the two away from the music they're used to be heard.
As a former member of the girl group RaNia, Cosmic Girl used to be singing or rapping for electronic disco music. On the other hand, San E is known to rap for hip hop songs but when he collaborates with artists like Crush, After School's Raina, and Baek Yerin, he unleashes his prowess in the field of rhythm and blues. Definitely this song fits this skill of San E.
"Don't You Worry 'Bout Me" is definitely a relatable song especially to those who are undergoing a recent break up. Based from the lyrics of the song, it talks about a girl who has already moved on and a guy who can't and still bothers her. Some of the lyrics also provided witty metaphors such as her comparisons of her present and past lover where Cosmic Girl stated "you used to give me silver, silver, silver, but he gives me gold, gold, gold".
The music video and the lyrics are really perfect for the collaboration between Cosmic Girl and San E. As seen on the MV, the two seems to be debating over their past relationship as they alternately give their 'he said' and 'she said' statements. The lyrics just cuts through the emotions of the listeners.
"Don't You Worry 'Bout Me" is Cosmic Girl's song after her solo debut in September with "No More."
