2NE1 so sorry for not releasing their album before disbandment

In case you missed it, the YG Entertainment's flagship girl group 2NE1 just got disbanded.

On November 25, YG Entertainment announced that their first girl group is unfortunately disbanding. According to the write up by Idolator, their disbandment was highly influenced by the expiration of the girls' contracts on May. It can also be recalled that Minzy didn't renew her contract and left the said label. Consequently, Park Bom also stated her decision on not renewing her contract leaving Dara and CL as the only remaining girls in the group.

Prior to their disbandment, there were already rumors and statements that the three girls (Park Bom, Dara, and CL) shall have a comeback after their album "Crush" in 2014. There were even rumors on Minzy joining the three for the album. Apparently, all the hopes of BLACKJACKS all over the globe blew off the thin air when they announced their disbandment.

Recently despite their busy schedules, both CL and Dara managed to create letters for their fans about their sincere apologies for not finishing the album that they promised. On an article from Billboard, CL expressed that they really tried their best to finish the album. She even imparted that she was in Korea the entire summer working on the album, but apparently unexpected events took over.

Dara also expressed her sadness and frustration that they weren't able to finish the album. She even said that she really wanted to give the fans a music they're worth to listen to but she's so frustrated and at the same time upset that they failed on doing so.

Dara is currently one of the judges in the Filipino talent show aired in ABS-CBN while CL just signed up under manager Scooter Braun, who also manages artists like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, for her growing career in USA.

For sure, BLACKJACKS are grieving after the news, but for sure there's a lot of good things in store for the four girls of 2NE1.
