The leader of the boy group Winner, Kang Seung Yoon, lends his voice for the "Love For A Thousand More" web drama. The song represents the feeling of his character.
"Love For A Thousand More" is a collaboration between CJ E&M, YG Entertainment, and YGKPlus as reported by Korea Daily. The fantasy drama with Kang plays the main character a hip-hop musician Joon-Woo, who meets an immortal woman Mi-Jo. Hwang Seung-Un is cast as Mi-Jo.
After having a drought for about two years, fantasy drama made a comeback to the Korean drama landscape. Fantasy drama has been a great success in Korean drama, especially with the success of "My Love from the Star" in 2014. The audience in Korea and international is craving for more fantasy drama.
This winter, fantasy drama comes back as the favorite theme for a Korean drama. As expected, the audience loves the reoccurrence of fantasy drama on their TV screen. Two fantasy dramas have gained big success, "Legend of the Blue Sea" in SBS and tvN "Goblin," also known for its working title "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God."
CJ E&M and YG Entertainment has also noticed the room for more fantasy drama, so they collaborated to produce "Love for A Thousand More." Director Kwon Hyuk-Chan, whose recent work is tvN drama "Cinderella and the Four Knights," is appointed to produce the drama.
The drama was premiered on Dec. 5 on Naver TV cast. Kang also sings the main OST for the drama, titled "You" and according to Dio Deo, the song represent the feeling of his character Jong-Woo, a hip-hop musician towards Mi-Jo, the immortal woman whose age has past 1,000 years.
"Love for A Thousand More" is broadcast through Naver TV cast every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11 am KST (GMT+9).
