On November 28, B1A4 returned with their new music titled "A Lie," which is this group's third studio album "Good Timing." This song earned it's first won on MTV's "The Show" last week. This new single was written by Jinyoung who recently revealed his inspiration for coming up "A Lie."
During B1A4's promotion of "Good Timing" on "Ji Suk Jin's 2'O Clock Date," Jinyoung admitted that he was inspired by personal experiences in life to write this song. Jin Suk Kin asked, "Is that true that the song was written from Jinyoung's real life experience?"
"It is true. There was someone I liked during high school. In the lyrics, there's a part that goes, "Meet someone good," which is a lie," Jinyoung answered.
Jinyoung went on, "In your heart, you do not mean it. I think about her from time to time, but I have let her go since it has been about ten years."
The idol group also appeared on the morning show "Music Bank Stardust 2" to promote "A Lie." Jinyoung explained the story behind it. "'A Lie' is about having to unwillingly send away someone you love while knowing inside your heart that it is a lie," he explained, which prompted a reaction out of fellow member Sandeul.
"This song reflects Jinyoung's experience. Love songs are almost always from someone's experiences," Sandeul commented, before chiding Jinyoung with a few hilariously personal questions. "How many relationships have you been in? Whom did you lie to like this?"
Defending himself in a panic Jinyoung said that he does not have a lot of love experience and that the song was inspired by the sad, mournful memories that inevitably happen in one's love life.
In an interview with "Tei's Dreaming Radio," the B1A4 also revealed which girl group he would like to collaborate with. "I have been lately thinking about trying a different style. If there's an opportunity, I want to work with TWICE or GFRIEND," he said.
Apart from singing, Jinyoung has also entered into the acting industry. He played a cameo appearance in "The Thousandth Man" in 2012. He also played a second male lead in "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds."
