Star Empire Entertainment in 2010 formed this South Korean Girl Group and named it Nine Musses with an admissions and graduation concept. There have been nine members who have been graduated from the group and at present, there are total five members:
- Sungah: Main rapper with Lead dancer and vocalist
- Kyungri: Lead vocalist and dancer
- Hyemi: Main vocalist
- Sojin: Main dancer, lead rapper
- Keumjo: Main vocalist
The debut single album "Let's Have a Party" by Nine Muses came out on August 12, 2010. Park Jin Young composed "No Playboy", "Rainstone" by Wonder Girl's Nobody was used as a lead track. "Ladies" was used as a second lead track.
In 2012-13 new member, Kyungiri was added, during the group's performance in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Sweetune produced music video "Figaro" was released on January 12, 2012.
On January 12, last year the two new members Keumjo and Sojin were added. Agency while commenting on Sojin said, "Sojin has outstanding dancing skills, which will improve Nine Muses' performances, and Keumjo will strength the group's vocal line with an excellent singing ability and appealing voice."
Minha and Euarin's exclusive contracts had expired this year and they had decided to graduate from the group. It was also revealed that Nine Muses were preparing for a summer comeback with a four-member sub-unit called Nine Muses A, an abbreviation for 9muses Amuse, with members Kyungri, Hyemi, Sojin and Keumjo.
Nine Muses were awarded as Best Female Group in 2016 at 'Korean Entertainment Awards.' They had also won an award in the same category in the year 2013 at 'The 4th Annual KPOP+Music Awards.'
