The staff of MTV's "The Show" has step forward to clarify the misunderstanding that has been going for a while now.
The misunderstanding is about the controversial video where some people thought that Up10tion's Wooshin has sexually harassed IOI's Somi. According to Allkpop, the staff of "The Show" has released a statement saying the accusations about the sexual harassment were false.
They stated, "We are writing about the 'The Show' MCs' Christmas greeting video. During the recording, staffs from both MCs' sides were present and monitoring the recording, and two of them stayed at a distance while filming."
They added that, "During the filming, there were no uncomfortable feeling from either party. The current controversy is a mistake from the angle of the video, so we ask fans to no longer misunderstand, make guesses, and criticize. We have deleted the video to prevent further guesses and misunderstandings, so we ask fans of MCs Wooshin and Somi to understand."
However, not so many netizens believe the staff. Netizen Buzz has translated some of people's reaction to it. many are commenting to take Up10tion's Wooshin out of the show. Other comment said,"You can clearly see Somi's necktie being pressed down by the back of his hand, and yet they're denying it??????? Wow"
Many are demanding for an apology, whether it was accidental or intentional, fans and viewers want an apology from Up10tion's Wooshin. One comment even mentioned the agencies' statements about it, "Did you guys know that the feedback from both agencies are exactly the same, just copied and pasted." There are also many people pointing out that IOI Somi is still a minor.
On the other hand, the international fns are defending Wooshin saying it was just the camera angle. Many are reminding other fans to what happened to Suzy earlier this year.
