Seohyun, the member of Girls Generation and its sub-unit TTS will launch her musical solo career. She will release her first album in the third week of January. After the Girls’ Generation released their “Lion Heart” album in 2015, Seohyun tried her acting skill in TV drama.
According to official announcement from the SM Entertainment, her new album will be released on Jan. 18. The album title “Don’t Say No” will have her own musical style which is different from the Girls’ Generation style.
SM Entertainment has also prepared the promotional material for her new album. After Girls Generation released the “Lion Heart” album in 2015, she tried her acting career. She made guest appearance in two MBC dramas, the 2015’s “Warm and Cozy” and “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo.” She also appeared as a supporting character in “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.”
Recently she starred in the Korean adaptation of two musical performances, “Gone With The Wind” and “Mama Mia!” as reported by Seoul Daily News. She has also finished shooting web drama Ruby Ruby Love" which will be available through streaming on Naver later this month.
The 25-year-old came from the musical family. Her mother is a piano teacher and since her early age she has leaned violin, piano and traditional Korean drum. She was one of the Girls’ Generation members which was debuted in 2009 with “Gee.” Along with the group, Seohyun enjoyed a rising popularity and became one of the notable and influential figure in K-Pop industry and bringing Hallyu to wider audience internationally.
In 2012, their agency SM Entertainment established a sub-unit of Girls’ Generation called TTS or TaeTiSeo, consist of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. The trio is the opportunity for Seohyun to showcase her awesome singing skill along with Girls’ Generation leader Taeyeon and Tiffany.
