Eminem Stabbed: A Hoax Is A Hoax, Of Course, Of Course

Beloved rapper Eminem is the center of a fake story making its Internet rounds, but thankfully, the seedy story isn't true for once.

A Facebook post showed a grisly photo of a man who was supposedly Eminem bearing gruesome stab wounds. It said that Eminem was "left nearly DEAD after being stabbed 4 times in NYC!"

That's more creative than a drowning or freak accident, perhaps, but it also lines up to ways people have suspected the ways the sometimes almost-insultingly provocative rapper might meet his end.

Not to worry, folks, Slim Shady's alive and well, and the rumor was bogus. Eminem's rep denied the rumor outright. He told E! News that his client was fine and that the rumor was "not true. He remains unstabbed."

Strange phrasing, but good news. Marshall Mathers will ride again, apparently. And the man in the pic? Not the real Slim Shady. Clicking on the link will garner viewers a whole lotta spam, and not much else-but, at least, not tragedy beyond a possible computer virus.

Em's got good news in the works, actually. He's getting ready to drop another album. His latest work may include vocals from Chris Rock and will defienteley include appearances at music fests across Europe this summer.

Thankfully, the rumors are bogus, and fans can rest assured that Eminem was not stabbed four times or on the verge of death or anything else. Fans took to Twitter to warn others, saying things like,

@Eva_N_Thorn: "dont worry guys, eminem was not stabbed in NY. i know this because i stalk his life so you can all relax now."

@MarcoSaldana26: "If that Eminem hoax about him getting stabbed and left nearly dead was true, I be freaking out right now. Hip-Hop cant lose a legend!"

The album has a tentative release date-it should hit stores around May 28th
