Lee Min Ho will be releasing a "goodbye gift" for his fans - a new album. The album is not yet titled but is expected for release in March.
According to a statement released by his agency MYM Entertainment on Friday, Lee Min Ho is set to release an album worldwide in March, reports Korea Herald. His upcoming single titled "Always" will be first released only to the fans on his meet and greet event "The Originality of Lee Min Ho" starting today, Feb. 18 until tomorrow, Feb. 19 at the Kyung Hee University's Grand Peace Hall.
Lee Min Ho's "Always" is his first single in 2 years, and a song that expresses his feelings of happiness and thankfulness for his fans that have supported him in his 10 years in the industry. "Always" may also be Le Min Ho's final gift for his fans as he is rumored to enlist in the military this year.
Lee Min Ho also previously released albums as a thank you for his fans. The albums "My Everything" and "Song for You" both peaked at the Oricon Daily Album Chart in Japan, while the album "The Day" ranked second on the Oricon Daily Single Chart, reports Korea Times.
The still untitled album to be released this March will be Lee Min Ho's fourth one. "My Everything", "Song for You", and "The Day" were released in 2013, 2014, and 2015 respectively.
Lee Min Ho first rose to fame in 2009 when he played as Gu Jun Pyo in "Boys Over Flowers" - the Korean adaptation of the Japanese manga series of the same title. Lee Min Ho's portrayal of the role made the Baeksang Arts Awards give him the Best New Actor award.
Lee Min Ho also took the lead roles of the TV series "City Hunter", "The Heirs", and the most recent "Legend of the Blue Sea". Lee Min Ho's success in the industry established him as a top Hallyu star.
