EXO’s Kai to Play Korean Cameraman in Japanese Drama ‘Spring Has Come’!

EXO's Kai is set to captivate the hearts of more Japanese fans! Reports indicate that he was tapped to play the lead role for an upcoming Japanese drama.

A source from SM Entertainment revealed that Kai will be appearing in the Japanese drama, "Spring Has Come." Japanese news outlets also heard the news and expressed interest in Kai's role, Naver reported.

According to Soompi, it will be based on the story written by Japanese novelist Mukoda Guniko. Set in a modern format, Kai will play a Korean cameraman who will be the main character of the series. The story will revolve around family life in the modern times.

Other than the confirmation that Kai will star in the drama, SM Entertainment did not state when "Spring Has Come" will likely be released or who will be his co-stars. Fans are eventually looking forward to more details but the label will eventually release more details in the near future.

It looks like this series will be a hit. It can be recalled that Japanese fans called EXO's Kai "Asia's First Love" because of his captivating solo performance at the A-Nation concert in 2015. Because of his remarkable performance, Japanese fans loves Kai even more.

Meanwhile, Kai also stars in the KBS drama "Andante." There he plays a high schooler Lee Si Kyung. "Andante" serves as the first ever lead role for the EXO member. He will be joined by young star Jung Da Bin. The pre-produced drama will air in the second half of 2017 and will have a total of 16 episodes, Drama Fever noted.

Kai debuted as an actor in January 2016. His web drama "Choco Bank" achieved a record-breaking viewership and Kai was praised for his acting. He also starred in the special web drama "First Seven Kisses" along with other stars like Lee Jong-suk, Choi Ji-woo, Park Hae-jin, and Lee Joon-gi.
