EXO Member Lay Shares Surprising Thoughts About Luhan's Sasaengs Song

EXO's Lay, who is better known as Zhang Yixing, has finally voiced out his emotions and thoughts regarding the new song of Luhan about sasaengs. Reports point out that Lay was asked about his thoughts regarding the recent song of Luhan, which was also originally written for sasaengs.

Lay swiftly commented and released his emotions without further adue. According to Officially K Music, Lay says that he really doesn't know much about the details or origin of the song. However, he then says that everyone is surely having a hard time.

He adds that he wishes that understanding will prevail in both sides, and that further ensuing misunderstandings is unhealthy in the industry. Lay further points out that some of the lyrics of the song such as the line which suggests the wearing of helmets due to the many fans everywhere, is directly implied on sasaengs.

Another line of the song which denotes a person who wants to refrain from all the massive fan followings is according to Lay, another clear and obvious sign of criticizing sasaengs. According to Soompi, all of these are criticizing how sasaengs respond to their fanaticism and the idolizing of some of the most prominent faces in the K-pop industry.

For some, this is a way to promote national awareness on how the invasion of privacy affects the overall wellbeing of most K-pop celebrities these days. On the other hand, it also shows that these sasaengs should also not be criticized, as they also have their own reason why they engage in such seeming stalking motives.

With all of these being said, Lay clearly shows that he doesn't want to offend his fans. Despite him confirming that being one of the sasaengs is not really a good idea, he still understands that they need to be understood.
