Seemingly out of nowhere, B.A.P began dropping teasers for their new music video and we finally are able to see the complete masterpiece of 'Wake Me Up'! B.A.P has come back with a dark video and there are lots of room for interpretation.
Watch the music video below:
The ethnically diverse cast is something that many Korean videos don't have and it's definitely appealing to international fans. A favorite scene from the video is at the end where all the rioters go to town and start setting everything on fire.
The sign held up spelling out "EMOTION REVOLUTION" is very interesting. The emphasis on the word "love" which is spelled backward in "revolution" could signify a nod to mental illness. Also, the significance of 11:05pm could be a clever disguise. It could be a reference to the day, November 5 (11/5), which is the day where South Koreans held a protest for the president to leave office. Either interpretation could point to needing to become more aware. Whether it be mental awareness or political awareness, you can become a new and better person than the one you were before. Thus, B.A.P has done an amazing job to convey a meaningful message.
