BLACKPINK's Lisa has shattered streaming records with her debut solo album Alter Ego, which released on Feb. 28, 2025.
The Thai rapper's highly anticipated 15-track solo album garnered an impressive 23,497,033 streams on the platform Spotify within the first 24 hours of its release. That sets a new record for female rappers on the platform and tops the achievement previously held by Cardi B for her album, Invasion of Privacy. The American rapper's album, which contained the top hits "Bodak Yellow" and "I Like It," amassed 15.4 million streams on its debut day.
The success of Lisa's album is accompanied by the significant success of several of its tracks, with five songs entering Spotify's Top 10 Songs Debut Global chart. These include "FUTW (feat. Future)" at #1, "FUTW (Vixi Solo Version)" at #5, "Lifestyle" at #8, "Elastigirl" at #9, and "When I'm With You (feat. Tyla)" at #10. This ties Lisa's solo album with that of BLACKPINK's The Album for the most songs in Spotify's Global Top 10 Debuts from a single album by K-pop artists.
Furthermore, Lisa is now joining other stars such as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, and Adele as the Female Albums with the Most Songs in the Top 10 of the Spotify Global 200 Charts.
Lisa's Solo Music Career
Lisa launched her solo career in 2021 with the release of her single album Lalisa. The title track and B-side "Money" achieved significant success while "Lalisa" broke the Guinness World Record for the most-viewed video by a soloist in 24 hours. "Lalisa," specifically, sold 736,221 copies in its first week in South Korea, making her the first female soloist to surpass the 500,000-copy mark in one week.
Lisa's latest album followed the release of singles like "Rockstar" and "New Woman" last year, both of which achieved high positions on global charts.
