There has been an issue about GOT7's Bambam and TWICE's Mina dating. Fans collected some pictures and came up with a picture of Bambam and Mina in one frame. They were taking the picture really close to each other to likely having more than friend's relationship.
As reported by Soompi, JYP Entertainment stated that the picture was simply a candid picture and both were company colleagues. The company stated that both were not dating. They also added to take legal action regarding defaming artists' characters.
JYP Entertainment has a strict rule for the artist to forbid dating until 3 years from their debut. Previously the company has terminated Joonhyuk Day6 because he was getting caught dating one of his fans, reported by AllKpop.
As the company sticks to the rule, so the statement made by them is based on the fact. Although some fans still believe that both are dating but there is no clear evidence from a single photo. Also, TWICE hasn't made their 3 years after debut.
Regarding the dating rule, Somi once stated her concern about it on "Sister's Slam Dunk." She was worried about it, but one of the members said that her time with IOI should have been counted. Even though the company forbids the artists to date before 3 years from debut, but they also take a good care of their artists. Thus, they stated to take legal action if fans cross over the line.
It is not something new for company to set the dating rule as they want the best for the artists. The path for fame is not easy and there is a cost to be paid. But still, the artists can improve during their early years and focus only on working. Also, they will gain many fans to keep supporting them along the way.
