Kangnam was recently invited to tvN's "Problematic Men" to share his childhood story. The show features special guest stars that are considered having above-average intelligence. Celebrities that come to the show are challenged to solve mind games, discuss their academic achievement, and share their stories. During the TV program, Kangnam revealed some interesting facts about his past days as a school boy.
Kangnam was featured on "Problematic Men" because of his achievement of being in the 2nd spot in the entire country when he was in the elementary school. Kangnam has also tasted some valuable experiences to study abroad that resulted in his ability to speak three languages: English, Japanese, and Korean. Korea Boo reported Kangnam was once involved in problematic incidents that were caused by his habit.
When he lived in Hawaii, the idol revealed that he went to 9 different schools. The reason why he was kicked out of school over and over again is because the teachers couldn't stand his attitude. Kangnam admitted that he was a bit annoying when he was younger due to his habit to ask too many questions to the point he almost made everyone hated him for his guts.
The idol whose group recently disbanded is known for coming from a rich family. Even though his family is rich, Kangnam admitted that he doesn't receive financial support from them. He made his singing debut in South Korea with M.I.B in 2011 under the label Jungle Entertainment.
Before his career in South Korea, Kangnam, who was born as Yasuo Namekawa, performed in a Japanese band named Kick Chop Busters in 2008 and departed from the band two years later without his parents knowing. After M.I.B got disbanded, Kangnam focuses on his solo career by releasing his Japanese solo album titled "Ready to Fly", on May 26 2016 under CJ Victor Management.
