How Soyoung Became The Korean Version Of 'Beauty And The Beast' Belle

The hit comedic show, "Saturday Night Live Korea 9", has just featured a parody of the recent Disney blockbuster hit, "Beauty and the Beast". And with it, the TV show has gained the attention of millions as it has entertainingly made a South Korean version of the American Disney legendary story.

As of now, the remake and live action version of "Beauty and the Beast" is experiencing massive success worldwide. And with it, Emma Watson who takes the character of Belle, is in for some luck too.

However, it seems like SNL Korea 9 is not just contented with that as it also wants to do a South Korean version of the American Disney story. According to Koogle, Girls Generation's Sooyoung took up the role of Belle in the parody version of the show.

Meanwhile, the funny and witty MC Shin Dong Yup took up the role of the Beast. Eventually, the two were to reenact the infamous kiss between Beast and the Beauty, in this case, Belle.

However, as the two were approaching each other's lips, what instead happened was that Belle backed out. According to Soompi, the reason behind it, she says, is that she doesn't like hair. In fact, she hates it. Knowing that the Beast has a lot of hair, MC Shin Dong Yup is indeed having some bad luck.

Because of it, the Beast removes all of his hair in order to push through in kissing Belle. His plan then worked out as he and Belle finally kissed.

With all of these being said, the South Korean comedic TV show is indeed up for laughs as it successfully did a parody of the top-grossing Disney film, "Beauty and the Beast". South Koreans sure know how to do a parody movie the right way. K-pop fans would surely say that Sooyoung's Belle was also as charming and mesmerizing, possibly even better than Emma Watson's.
