Singer turned actress Sandara Park or Dara recently sat with Ten Asia for an interview. Dara talked about her role model, Uhm Jung Hwa and her transition towards acting.
According to All Kpop, Dara first asked what she meant about becoming post-Uhm Jung Hwa. Dara responded how renowned Uhm Jung Hwa is as a singer and an actress and that she admires her for it. "It's not easy, but I want to be like that," added Dara.
Dara was then asked about the difference of being a singer on stage and being an actress on a movie screen. Dara first responded that YG Entertainment CEO found her nervous during the preview for "One Step".
Dara later added that she still does not know the difference between the two. "One Step" was her first is her first major Korean movie after all.
In addition, Dara was also asked if she wanted to erase the 2NE1 label she has garnered over the years. Dara was prompt in saying "no".
Dara then proceeded to reveal how she was in shambles for the past couple of months when 2NE1 disbanded. She even admitted falling into a delusion.
Dara revealed how she was so shaken up by the disbandment, thinking that they are going to be strangers from then on. She thought there was no way of them to be together anymore.
However, Dara revealed she always keeps in touch with Minzy, CL, and Park Bom. She also revealed how nothing has changed mostly and that their current job is to cheer for each other in their recent endeavors.
To end the interview, Dara was asked what her current approach in her life and career is. "I actually thought of one - to think positively. Since I am an introvert, I tend to blame everything on myself when something goes wrong," responded Dara.
Dara also ensured that she receives words of advice on keeping a positive mindset. Fighting, Dara!
Dara recently made her debut with the movie "One Step". The movie was released on Thursday, April 6, reports Soompi.
