IU's 'Through The Night' Gets Perfect All-Kill For 2 Consecutive Weeks

IU maintained her number one spot in Instiz Chart for this week. The singer-writer's single "Through The Night" gets an all-kill for two consecutive weeks. This is IU's big comeback after she starred in SBS drama, "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," last year.

"Through The Night" is a pre-release track of her fourth studio album. Her new album is expected to release this month of April. "IU will release her 4th full album on April 21 and meet her fans again. There will be a pre-release song coming out on March 24 and April 7, ahead of the release of the full album," Loen Entertainment and FAVE entertainment stated.

Soompi reported that "Through The Night" is the only song that hits the number one spot on Melon after an hour of its release. It is not easy for an artist or idol group to achieve an all-kill.

However, IU doesn't stop impressing her fans. Her second single titled "Can't Love you More" featuring Oh Hyuk got an all-kill too. In 2015, IU gets an all-kill with her song "Twenty-three" from her Chat-Shire Album.

On the other hand, South Korean boy group, Winner sits at second spot with their single "Really Really." They grabbed the number one spot in seven out of eight major real-time charts. The group is experiencing success both in South Korea and internationally. Another Korean boy group, Highlight, got the third spot in Instiz chart with their solo, "Plz Don't Be Sad."

The Instiz chart ranks the overall standing of a song in all the South Korean Music chart. It also determines the artist or music groups that achieved the "all-kill."

According to Allkpop, all-kill define as "a song has topped all of the major music charts at the same time and usually happens fairly quickly after its release." It includes the real time chart, daily chart, and weekly chart. Some of the Idol group and artists that achieved all-kill are Idina Menzel, Miss A, PSY and Big Bang.
