BLACKPINK's debut in Japan has just been confirmed by their partner agency, YGEX. Rose, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa will be in Japan for their debut showcase in July.
As reported by All Kpop, BLACKPINK's Japanese debut was confirmed by YG Entertainment's partner agency in Japan, AVEX. The girl group will be in Japan on Thursday, July 20 in Nippon Budokan, Tokyo.
BLACKPINK is expected to perform their greatest hits "BOOMBAYAH", "Playing with Fire", "Stay", and "Whistle". As the girl group is expected to make a comeback this June, it is also expected that BLACKPINK will be performing more songs for their Japanese fans.
Also, BLACKPINK will re-release their 2 mini albums in Japan. "SQUARE ONE" and "SQUARE TWO" is expected to have a Japanese version and will be officially released on August 9.
Despite the fact that BLACKPINK is a rookie girl group, they have proved their bosses in YG Entertainment that they do have talent. The girl group is a massive hit, garnering over 100 million views each in 3 of their music videos.
"BOOMBAYAH" MV first hit 100 million views in January. "Playing with Fire" and "Whistle" then came after in April.
In other news, BLACKPINK's Rose wowed the fans as she covered WINNER's "Really Really". As previously reported by KpopStarz, YG Entertainment head Yang Hyun Suk share the clip of Rose's cover in his Instagram profile.
The clip was uploaded on Sunday, May 14 and featured BLACKPINK's Rose sitting on a corner holding her guitar. The video started with Rose looking shy and hesitant.
However, her confidence took over and delivered a sweet, laid-back, acoustic rendition of WINNER's "Really Really". The cover by the BLACKPINK vocals now has garnered over 275,000 views on Instagram.
The BLACKPINK member received over 3,000 comments. Most of them praised Rose's sweet rendition and even asked for the full song.
