After her recent absence in AOA, member ChoA released her own side of the issues surrounding her. She clarified things in her lengthy Instagram post caption uploaded on Tuesday, May 16.
As reported by All Kpop, AOA's agency, FNC Entertainment initially released their side regarding ChoA's absence from the group. In their statement, ChoA is just taking her personal time off to rest.
ChoA's decision came after AOA's concert in March. According to the agency, the AOA member personally expressed her request to the agency, giving no reason whatsoever.
This caused AOA fans to start rumors that ChoA might be leaving the group soon. This was however, invalidated by ChoA herself in her recent Instagram upload.
In her caption, the AOA member first expressed her thanks to the fans that were always thoughtful of her. ChoA then revealed that her break from AOA was actually pre-planned.
Apparently, ChoA's break from AOA was discussed in December 2016. This was after the group finished filming for the MV of "Excuse Me".
ChoA also revealed that she wanted to release a statement for the fans regarding her vacation. However, FNC Entertainment said otherwise.
The AOA member also revealed that FNC Entertainment advised her to refrain from using her social media accounts during her break. She reluctantly agreed.
ChoA then apologized for not persuading FNC Entertainment hard enough so she could release a statement earlier. She also apologized towards her ever supportive fans.
The AOA member also bashed the people who were spreading rumors of her leaving the group. "Those posting baseless rumors can really hurt people. Please delete them," asked ChoA.
To finish her post, ChoA once again thanked her fans who stood by her regardless of the rumors. "I hope to recharge my energy and work hard to show a better side of myself than before. Thank you," said ChoA.
The AOA member's Instagram post achieved over 25,000 likes. In the comment section, fans cheered ChoA and encouraged her to enjoy her "alone time".
