T.O.P Sentenced To 10 Months in Prison With 2 Year Probation

Unfortunate news in the K-Pop world yet again! It was recently revealed that T.O.P accepted all charges on the accounts of his drug scandal involving the use of Marijana with a former trainee.

On June 29th, T.O.P's sentence and final outcome of the charges were revealed. He was sentenced to 10 months in prison if he violates his two (2) year probation period. This means T.O.P will not be going to prison unless he is found violating his probation in any means, especially in regards to drug use again. However, the idol has been stripped of his military title.

T.O.P can be seen exiting the courtroom and bowing to all of the crowd, fans, family, and press, who were watching him closely. During this moment, T.O.P had released the following statement. "I was treated for anxiety and depression for years. My unstable mental state and thoughts made me act wrongly. I have made a mistake that I cannot undo. This all happened within a week and it was the worst week of my life. I am regretting it down to my bones. I am sincerely embarrassed and promise this will not happen again. I will take all punishment and treat it as a life lesson. I will accept my punishment."

Many fans are angered over the fact that former trainee Han Seo Hee was let off lightly in comparison to T.O.P. Han Seo Hee was found to be in possession of marijuana, LSD and other drugs. She was even found to have continued using marijuana even after the scandal and allegations occurred. The judges revealed that because she admitted to all of her charges she will be put on probation as well.

Now, T.O.P will be taking some time to rest and assess the situation and the punishment handed to him. Unfortunately, many fans are worrying about how this will take a toll on his career but are relieved the idol is walking away with a lighter sentence than expected.
