Will MBC Dramas Officially Stop Airing Due To The Ongoing Strike?

Sad news for all the K-Drama lovers out there - MBC, one of Korea's biggest drama production companies, is still undergoing a strike among its employees which has caused an endless amount of delays in show programs. Now, viewers fear the rumors of shows coming to an end since their indefinite halt may come true!

The drama all begin in late August when reports came out saying that various variety programs such as 'Infinity Challenge,' 'I Live Alone,' 'Running Man, 'Idol Star Athletic Championship' and more have been on a brief pause due to a strike. On October 11th, a representative from MBC has finally come forward with more official information regarding their current production, employee and strike status. In regards to the reports of the company's hiatus, MBC released the following.

"Various news outlets are saying that drama broadcasts will be canceled due to the ongoing strike, however, such reports are false. There won't be any changes made in the broadcast times." Thank goodness, huh?! Fans expressed their joy to hear the strike will cause no further damage to airing times.

While certain dramas, such as '20th Century Boys & Girls' were affected by the strike, other programs such as the ones named above and including 'Bad Thief, Good Thief,' 'Hospital Ship,' and more are dedicated to airing right on time.
