Fans all over the world cannot seem to get enough of Blackpink. The girl group tour almost all over the world to showcase their beauty and talent to their international fans. Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose surely are on the peak of their career and that is why people's eyes are all on them. People will surely find something wrong about these girls.
On April 24, 2019, Blackpink held their concert in the Allstate Arena in Illinois. Some fans are claiming that they noticed the girl group lip-syncing to one of their hit single, "Don't know what to do." You could see in the video recorded during the concert that the vocals are already playing at the start but none of the members held the microphones to their mouth.
Fans are quick to notice that it is Jennie and Lisa who are lip-syncing during their concert. Jennie can be seen walking around with her microphone in her chest even though her voice can be heard on the speakers. Lisa also was slow during her first lines.
Fans are upset as to why the girls are lip-syncing when they already have a naturally good voice. People are also saying that they showed no effort since they were times where the girls did not lift the microphones to their mouths. Others think their dances tend to be a high-intensity workout and consumes a lot of their energy which could be the main reason for lip-syncing.
Jennie also experienced a wardrobe malfunction as she can be seen clutching into her top during the performance as if something was loose, She even completely stops dancing at one point until Jennie walked off the stage leaving her members to perform as a group of 3. After having her top fixed, Jennie came back on stage to perform with her group.
Netizens criticized Jennie for being "unprofessional." They said that Jennie should have finished the song then fix her wardrobe after the performance.
However, Blinks defended the group saying the girls are definitely not lip-syncing. The people who attended the concert said there were backing vocals but still, the girl group was singing live.
People paid for their ticket just to watch their Idols perform life and it is annoying to know that their Idols mislead their fans into thinking that they are actually singing when they are really not.
