The May 8 episode of MBC's "Show Champion" is truly a moment to remember for NU'EST and their LOVEs.
Winning over the likes of BTS' "Boy With Luv" and TWICE's "Fancy," the K-pop boy band's comeback single "Bet Bet" won the top spot -- giving them their first ever win in any music show.
The quintet's new song also defeated Super Junior D&E's "Danger" and N. Flying's "Spring Memories" during the said episode.
"Bet Bet" is part of their latest album, "Happily Ever After," released on April 29. The effort marks as their first full-group comeback since member Minhyun returned following his stint in the now-defunct K-pop collective, Wanna One.
During their speech after their historic win, leader JR expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped them achieve this feat.
"Thank you to our staff who worked hard on this album. This is NU'EST's first win. Thank you LOVEs for making something that the five of us dreamt of come true."
Aron, meanwhile, noted that they will "continue to work hard," asking for their fans' continued support. Sharing the same sentiments, Minhyun that the said moment is "so emotional" for them. "We will work even harder as a group in the future," he added.
Now complete, all five members of NU'EST are set to embark on a world tour, their first since their debut in 2012. As of now, the confirmed stops for the 2019 NU'EST Tour includes Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur.
Earlier this month, the group dropped a surprise single titled "Blessing." Originally a candidate for their debut song, this release is in response to the warm support they have received upon their comeback.
Their album "Happily Ever After" landed on the top spot of iTunes album chart in 13 different countries including the Philippines Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, and Mexico.
