Shin Min Ah Looks Sharp and Dauntless in ‘Advisor’ Teaser Photos

After 2017's "Tomorrow With You," A-list Korean actress Shin Min Ah is returning to the small screen with JTBC's upcoming drama "Advisor."

Starring opposite Lee Jung Jae, the Friday-Saturday TV series will tell the gritty stories of politicians who are in control of the many happenings in the country. The plot will also follow how Jung Jae's character Jang Tae Hoon -- a talented, sought-after advisor -- tries to survive the rather dangerous world of politics.

Min Ah, on the other hand, will give life to the character of Kang Sun Young, who is an idealist politician trying to break the norms in her field. From a highly experienced lawyer, she has been selected as her political party's spokesperson for the National Assembly.

Her being dignified will put her in a position where she'd find it hard to get along with her advisors.

As seen in the teaser photos, the 35-year-old model and TV personality has transformed into a sharp-looking and dauntless politician, exuding a more mature charisma from her previous roles.

Starting her career as an actress in 2001, it was her role in "My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox" that helped her reach region-wide and even global stardom. She has also starred in "Arang and the Magistrate" and "Oh My Venus."

According to the production team behind "Advisor," her joining the cast completes "the best lineup" of actors possible for the drama.

"Shin Min Ah, who has a lovely and warm image, plans to showcase a 'girl-crush' side of her filled with passion and confidence to run towards her goals without hesitation. With changes in her image, we will feature a story that talks about the competition among the players from Yeouido," the team further stated.

The upcoming political drama will be helmed by director Kwak Jung Hwan. He previously directed "Miss Hammurabi," "Slave Hunters," and "The K2." The writing credits will meanwhile be taken cared of by Lee Dae Il, known for the works "Bring It On, Ghost" and "Life On Mars."

"Advisor" will take over the slot of "Beautiful World." It set is set to premiere in June.
