"One of the Girls' Generation members went to China and once said Sunny desu," she began. "That member was Sunny right?" Singer Lee Juck guck, instantly making everyone laugh.
Taeyeon then went on and spilled more. "She was speaking very well in Chinese and then suddenly said that. We all stared at her. Thinking about it now gives me cold sweats. We were also promoting in Japan at that time. Sunny... Why did you do that?" She recalled.
Earlier this month, Taeyeon shared with the JTBC program her thoughts on participating in the show.
"I wanted to show my voice as it is. Since it's my first time busking, I expected difficulties and an environment with a lot of limitations. I approached it with the mindset of returning to my roots and starting from the basics. I have usually received a lot of help from the staff and stage equipment, but it was a really raw performance this time. I paid a lot of attention to the details," the singer shared.
The "OG" girl group just celebrated its 12th debut anniversary. This said Taeyeon shared with High Cut that the month of August for them is a time of festivities.
"August is a celebratory month for Girls' Generation. Since it has a member's birthday and is the month Girls' Generation made our debut, we're all busy since late July talking about what we're going to do. This time, we gathered together and chatted comfortably while eating the food we like," the singer said.
"I always feel as if the members are my life-long friends. There are times we get tired from work, but we provide each other with great comfort during those times," she went on.
As the leader of Girls' Generation, Taeyeon is nothing but happy and proud of her members for their individual activities.
"When I see everyone doing well, I feel satisfied and proud. In the film 'E.X.I.T,' which I watched recently, YoonA runs with all her might, and I felt sorry for her on one hand, but I also felt happy because she's doing well in a YoonA-like fashion. All of us probably feel the same way," she opened up.
Twelve years in the industry really changed the singer, especially in terms of having confidence in herself. During the interview, Taeyeon shared her transformation from her debut days to now.
"In the past, the concern of 'How will I be portrayed [to the public]?' always came first, but now I work hard to try to show myself and my color as it is," she revealed.
