Dreamcatcher debuted originally as a five-member group formerly called MINX in 2014. In 2017 Dreamcatcher was reinvented and 2 new members were added before re-debuting with their album Nightmare. Nightmare is a reflection of the new theme the group went in. the group is telling a continuous story within their tracks and music videos. They are popular for their nightmare concept.

The members are truly bonded by a strong friendship and show genuine love and support for one another. They can be playful at times particularly when they joke about their leader being naked in her room a lot. Even their agency, Happy Face Entertainment, loved Dreamcatcher so much that they changed their name into Dreamcatcher Company.

Dreamcatcher released their latest album on September 18. Raid of Dream album has a Game of Thrones vibes and collaborated with the popular mobile game King's Raid. Its lyrics show themes inside the game.

MINX had a loyal fanbase and the agency decided to rebrand the group turned out to be a brilliant idea. Their fanbase is now called insomnia and it grew larger and helped to spread the Hallyu wave toward Japan. Dreamcatcher's rock music is very popular in Japan.

  1. JiU

She is the leader of Dreamcatcher. She is the lead vocalist and visual of the group. She is one of the original members and was born in Daejeon, Korea in 1994. JiU loves being naked in her dorm room and she loves eating. She has a carefree spirit.

JiU and the other 3 members of the Dreamcatcher were participants of JTBC's MIXNINE program in 2017. Due to scheduling issues, the 4 members decided to leave the program.

She said that she felt regretful to leave the program because she wanted to show her different sides. The reason why they left was because of the conflict schedule with their concert in Brazil. She like Japanese metal band Baby Metal and she would like to work with all the girl K-pop groups.

2. SuA

SuA is also a '94-liner and was born in Changwon, Korea. She is one of the group's original members. Her scariest moment was when she auditioned for the agency. She got nervous when she was judged.

She is Dreamcatcher's lead rapper and main dancer. She focuses on choreography and even joined a breakdancing competition.

She said that she is proud to say that she entered a b-girl competition. She said that she didn't win but she was happy to be part of the competition. SuA is a fan of TVXQ and her role models are BIGBANG and Lee Hyori.

3. Siyeon

Fans call Siyeon as the "wolf". She was born in Daegu, Korea in 1995. She owns a powerful voice and that is why she is the group's main vocalist. She was a 5 years vocalist of a band when she was in school.

She said she was the vocalist in high school from freshmen until sophomore. She said she was a vocalist for 5 years.

She can play the piano. She recorded a duet with Boys Republic's Onejunn for the song "The Two Of Us" from K-Drama Love & Secret's OST during her time with MINX. She said her role model was Sistar's Hyorin and she liked ONE OK ROCK, a Japanese band. Siyeon has vocal talents and can make voice impressions for pokemon like Pikachu, Psyduck, and Squirtle.

4. Handong

Handong is a great addition to Dreamcatcher. She is a Chinese member who was born in 1996 in Wuhan. Fans gave her the nickname of "Chinese Princess".

Her role model is Taeyeon. She helped Handong pursue her music career. One of Handong's professors gave her the advice to audition in Korea. She loves singing and she joined in one musical in high school. She also studies opera and acting lessons in the past.

She said that she appeared in a high school musical and she likes it so much. Handong is a shy person but always proves she is smart.

5. Yoohyeon

Yoohyeon is adored by her fans because of her cute personality. Her fellow members said she looks stiff in everything she does and they call her "Firefist of Incheon" or "Tree". She is the lead vocalist of the group and was born in 1997 in Incheon, Korea. Wonder Girls inspired her to become a singer.

She is a chic gamer. Other members sometimes catch Yoohyeon playing video games late at night even when they have and an appearance the next day. They filmed her playing Overwatch and The Sims during behind-the-scenes moments. She is good at making impressions of game characters Tracer and Mei from Overwatch. She is a multilingual person and can Korean, English, Chinese, and German.

6. Dami

Dami is Dreamcatcher's lead dancer and main rapper. She was also an original member of MINX and was born in 1997 in Seoul, Korea. She loves reading books and her favorite author is Haruki Murakami. She also likes manga especially One Piece.

Yoohyeon said that Dami loves books. She said she saw her always reading at the shop or in the car or in the living room. Dami said she won the first price during her elementary school's national choir contest. She said that after she won the contest, she spent the prize money at the amusement park.

She realized that she wanted to be a singer when she was a member of a choir. She loves to sing on stage. She is also a fan of Taeyeon. She said that "Run Devil Run" is her life song and it helped her get into the company.

7. Gahyeon

Gahyeon and Handong were not MINX's original members. During Dreamcatcher's re-debut in 2017, Gahyeon was added to the group. She was born in 1999, in Seongnam, Korea. She is the group's rapper, vocalist, and maknae. She was a top student in school. She was an honor student and her highest grade is on Math subject.

She said that she was a consistent honor student for 3 years. She always wins awards in different subjects. She said that she never miss an award in math because she was best in math subject.

JiU said she loves eating, but Gahyeon is also competitive when it comes to eating. She feels threatened by her. K-Pop legend BoA inspired Gahyeon to be a singer.
