Akdong Musician's all-kill march is not over.
Akdong Musician went on a hiatus of two years since September 2017 when Lee Chan-hyuk, the older brother, joined a marine unit. The younger sister, as active as an entertainer during the band's hiatus but did not release any album.
Akdong Musician's "How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love" has topped all online music charts, including the nation's largest music chart Melon, Soribada, Ginny, Bugs and Olleh Music as of 8 a.m on October 7, 2019. It also recorded many times a so-called "roof kick," which is the highest real-time market share measurement in Melon. It remains to be seen whether AKMU will also be held able to score a perfect all-kill, in which they also top the iChart weekly chart, which would make it the third song to do so this year following BTS's "Boy with Luv" and BOL4's "Workaholic."
The music video for " How can I love the heartbreak, you're the one I love", uploaded onto YouTube, has garnered more than 3 million views.
All-kills, in general, have become rarer this year, which is largely attributed to how some charts calculate their rankings, along with the addition of the Flo chart in March. In October, Naver Music and Mnet will be taken off of iChart as their services come to an end. Mnet will be combining with Genie Music.
The new song "How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love" release on September 25, has continued its record for the 13th consecutive day after posting major music in just 3 hours. Despite his comeback after two years and two months. While all of the tracks from the duo's 'Sailing' album debuted within the top 30 on major music charts on the same day.
Meanwhile, "How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love" is a song written and composed by Lee Jin-hyuk and is loved for the lyrics that win sympathy from the lovers who broke up.
