December is still two months away, and the EXO members themselves just revealed last night in their day 2 concert in Fukuoka, Japan that they will be making a comeback soon. Baekhyun even added - in spite of Suho's effort to stop him from spoiling further - that the jacket filming for their forthcoming album will commence on the 15th and 16th.
Major details about this new album are still kept under wraps. Hence, we're entirely uncertain if this comeback is a winter album or not. And while we're out here being curious and ecstatic on what the "K-pop Kings" may bring, let's stream EXO's previous winter album songs that still make us feel giddy and spirited up to this day.
1. "Christmas Day" (Miracles in December)
Here, the singers personified the Christmas Day to the person they are in love with. Just like Christmas, their muse brings excitement and warmth during the cold season. His or her eyes also resemble the fluttering light decors on the streets to which the first person is always excited to wake up to.
2. "Good Night" (Universe)
EXO's "Good Night" is ethereal. You can't help but fall in love with its melody, the sincerest and truly affectionate lyrics, and the heavenly vocals of the eight members (Lay was not able to participate in this album). With Baekhyun's and Suho's gorgeous vocals beginning the song with, "When a night that is beautiful like you falls in this sleepy world, I close my eyes and quietly dream of you," who wouldn't be charmed?
3. "Gift to XBACK" (Lay, Winter Special Gift)
Even though Lay sat out his members' winter album, the lone Chinese member and main dancer of the supergroup - also now a prodigious Mandopop star - released his solo Christmas album. This certain track "Gift to XBACK" lives up to its name as it is dedicated to his individual fan base. Lay himself has shared multiple times how much he treasures his fans and he's eternally grateful for, without their love, he wouldn't be where he is now.
4. "What I Want For Christmas" (For Life)
Apart from the love-filled Christmastime, the first person in this song also celebrates the fifth time that he or she is sharing Christmas with his or her significant other together. Isn't it romantic that even after all these years, you're still the one the EXO members want in the most wonderful time of the year?
5. "Sing For You" (Sing For You)
This song is a poignant song to either a lover or a friend or whoever someone you cherish. The music video augments the mood as if you're on the verge of happy tears, with the nine members seemingly having a falling out and finding their way back to one another. This is kind of a sensitive matter to EXO-Ls, especially those who support OT9.
