A former member of a girl group has spoken out about the crime done by an entertainment agency CEO.
As stated by Han, one time, she was in the practice room together with her fellow group members as they were learning the choreography of their song; it was on the afternoon of August 1. The label's CEO then compared the way she danced to sex, giving offensive comments at her. Han continued, "Both of my hands and feet suddenly began to shake that time. From where he was staring, he gave one more remark as he looked directly at me and said, 'Do it again.' The CEO was even smiling when he said that."
Han further stated that even though she sought an apology, the man didn't give her one. Aside from that incident, another case happened which took place in the group's dormitory. Han shared that the CEO would frequently visit the girl band's dorm without notifying them. Even midnight, the man would go to the group's accommodation and shouted at the ladies to open the door for him.
After what happened, though causing the girl group to feel uneasy, the CEO refused to say sorry to them for the second time. Because of that, she was forced to depart from the group and the company in spite of their rising popularity, and she eventually quit as a K-pop idol after three years of being in the industry.
During that time, she said to herself, "What am I going to do in the future? What I am only good at is acting, singing, and dancing. To be honest, all I know is to perform on stage and show my talent. I'm terrified. I'm really scared."
To explain the side of the CEO, a representative of the company has given a statement which details that the CEO intends to apologize for the "joke" he has done, but he was not able to reach Han, who is still in the midst of undergoing psychiatric treatment. Although she has heard the side of the CEO, Han will proceed to take legal action against him.
