Singer Punch, better known as 'Queen of OST,' famous for a lot of original soundtracks for Korean dramas, emerged as a global K-pop singer thanks to the popularity and success of Hallyu dramas.
The singer recently joined the K-pop concert of the 2019 Dubai Korean Wave Expo at the Dubai World Trade Centre in UAE, set the place on fire from some 15,000 local fans.
Performing "Everytime" for Descendants of the Sun (2016), song "Stay With Me" with the drama Goblin (2016), "Say Yes" from Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, "Done for Me" from Hotel Del Luna live on stage featuring her angelic voice.
The concert drew attention as it was filled with fans carrying pickets of the K-pop singers name written on them, displaying her popularity being featured in the soundtracks for a lot of famous drama. Also, as Punch began singing, local fans ignited the night in Dubai with a big roar and crowds sing-along in Korean.
With the growing popularity of Korean dramas in the Middle East, Punch has naturally become a global 'K-pop singer.'
The sing has swept the top spots on the music charts for every drama OST that she has participated in, immediately getting the publics' attention not only at Korea but also abroad, showing off her surprising influence.
The famous singer is meeting fans across the country on her first national tour 'First Story: A Drama like Day.' The future performance dates are November 7, December 25, and December 29.
