EXO's Kai and his "clone" from X-EXO finally unveiled their first teasers and without a millisecond, a competition between the two beings involving EXO-Ls ensued. As of press time, EXO's Kai has scored 5,042,739 while X-EXO Kai earned 2,471,559.
In EXO's Kai's teaser images, he is seen holding a black and white flag, which coincides with their new logo for the forthcoming album "OBSESSION." Dressed in all black cardigan and pants and matching them with bulky platform shoes, Kai is sporting a green hair for this much-awaited comeback, and to quote their colossal fans' statement, "to save the K-pop industry."
In the teaser clip, Kai is standing in an industrial-looking warehouse seemingly ready for a fight. On the flip side, the X-EXO Kai revealed footage of him inside a dark dungeon, leaving the EXO-Ls both in awe and terror-stricken because of his looks. Clad in a yellow leather cropped jacket and pants, exposing his chiseled abs, the "clone" Kai won't fail to hypnotize you, especially his intimidating eye make-up.
EXO-Ls really lost it after the opposing teasers were unveiled, not to mention that they are still undecided about who they are going to side with. Currently, EXO's Kai is leading. Six hours after the revelation of the teasers, the scores of the two were unveiled on the official website of "EXODEUX."
Meanwhile, we all know that EXO has been following one concept ever since its debut in 2012. They go by their theme as supernatural beings, and as they progress with concerts, VCRs, comeback albums, and many more, their story progresses and intensifies as well. A ton of theories have been laid out by fans, but it's safe to say that there hasn't been a single soul who has guessed the precise lore of EXO. As for this upcoming album "OBSESSION," no one has actually seen this coming.
It's a culture among EXO-Ls to construct theories, especially during the comeback season, and it's normal for one to go Sherlock if an album (or even) a single is about to be dropped. This tradition and the nonet's concept as a whole actually impress non-fans. One of them even commended this comeback and was quoted saying "as if I'm watching an underworld-themed movie."
On Twitter, a (G)I-DLE stan said, "Not an EXO-L, but damn, EXO does have the best and intriguing concepts. All these EXO and X-EXO tweets, and theories, etc. I'm hooked."
Another one shared, "I haven't had the time or energy to care about anyone lately but EXO's concept for this comeback is so intriguing and I'm really into the aesthetic of the teasers. So far, I'm excited as hell for this."
